The Queen Elizabeth Country Park Collective are launcing their new red (yet to be named) mountain bike trail at Queen Elizabeth Country Park near Petersfield in Hampshire on Saturday 19th May 2012.There's a Cycle Festival organised there by Hargrove Cycles the following day. Queen Elizabeth Country Park is situated on the A3, 45 minutes south of the M25 and only an hour from south london. For more info contact qecptrailbuilding@yahoo.co.uk or see their Facebook page.
Summer Hares
July and August should be great bashing months and still require hares to lay the trail. November haring slot also still available. If you'd like to volunteer but have never hared before please get in touch. We can always pair you with an experienced hare to learn the ropes, but it isnt hard to learn. See the Hare How-To Destructions for details :)
Heaven of the South
Fellow basher Maddog says they are holding their second mtb event, Heaven of the South, on May 19/20th in the South Cotswolds. They have two routes, a 50k and 75k, hilly, and mostly offroad, great tracks, fabulous views, but fairly tough. Lots of local beer and cider as well, and live music. See their website for details.
June Nash Bash
After the 1st of April the June Nash Bash (national bike hash weekend) price will rise by a tenner, no joke. So email your application form to them now. Age of austerity, petrol queues and all that. See the 22nd June 2012 nash bash details on the left for more info.
Co-Hare required for next weekend's bash
Headboy's asked if there's anyone who can help him co-hare next weekend's bash.
Also as you can see from the website we still need hares for July, August and October onwards, so dont be shy to volunteer setting one :)
